Mainstream Media Reporter Loses Everything After Writing Fake Report About President Trump
It’s about damn time!
A Newsweek reporter paid the price after she wrote a fake news report over the Thanksgiving weekend. On Thursday afternoon Jessica Kwong wrote “How is Trump Spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, golfing and more” claiming that’s what President Trump was doing this Thanksgiving. However, when she posted the article President Trump actually landed in Afghanistan.
Check the timestamps. When Newsweek posted this, Trump had just landed in Afghanistan pic.twitter.com/AH83s3ROlp

Kwong was blasted by the President and Donald Trump Jr. for being so wrong and inaccurate. The Washington Examiner was told by Newsweek that they launched an investigation as soon as the incident occurred. “The story has been corrected, and the journalist responsible has been terminated. We will continue to review our processes and, if required, take further action,” Newsweek said.
Kwong told the New York Post that she was assigned to write a story about Trump’s Thanksgiving Day plans. On Thursday morning she updated the story on what Trump had done since she filed the report.
However, she claims hours later when the news broke about Trump’s Afghanistan trip the editor assigned it to another reporter but never updated her story. Funny because when she was called out on social media she changed the story. Kwong changed the story to “How’s Trump Spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, golfing – and Surprising US Troops in Afghanistan.”
“This story has been substantially updated and edited at 6:17 p.m. EST to reflect the president’s surprise trip to Afghanistan. Additional reporting by James Crowley,” it said.
She did apologize.

Story has already been updated, as shown in the screenshot. pic.twitter.com/g9CfPaV2kQ

I’m sure CNN or MSNBC would love to hire her.
