A disruptive protester was swiftly detained Saturday after attempting to interfere with the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit (SAS) in Tampa, Florida. The incident, which was captured on video, involved a man identified as Trevor Smith, who attempted to block traffic outside the event venue in an apparent attempt to create a scene.

Security personnel responded immediately, physically removing the individual and turning him over to law enforcement. The man’s conduct, described by onlookers as aggressive and performative, was brought under control without injury to bystanders. Authorities later confirmed Smith is facing multiple charges related to disorderly conduct and obstruction.


Footage of the incident, initially circulated by RedState’s Nick Arama, has since drawn attention online. In the video, Smith appears to gesture wildly in the path of vehicles before being overpowered and brought to the ground.
