Man Falls Asleep During Swift Concert
We’ve all had those moments where we’ve been caught dozing off when we should have been wide awake. But most of us haven’t had the misfortune of being immortalized on TikTok for napping during something as electrifying as a Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert.
In a now-viral TikTok video, a user shared footage of her brother catching some Z’s during a Swift show. The video was captioned, “Not him sleeping through ICDIWABH,” a reference for the uninitiated to the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” Alongside the video, she wrote, “When you take your brother to The Eras Tour and he falls asleep.”
The clip shows the young man initially head-bopping along to one of Swift’s hits, only to be later caught napping through the concert. The TikTok community, known for its swift reactions, had plenty to say.

Tara Johnsen chimed in with a touch of understanding, writing, “3 hours; I too would have a nap.” On the flip side, a user named renaissance_tash quoted a Swift song, saying, “You deserve prison but you won’t serve time,” adding a humorous twist. David Marson lamented the wasted opportunity, posting, “wasted ticket, a fan could never.” Fabian humorously noted, “That’s an expensive nap.”
While the napping brother sparked a mix of amusement and indignation, another controversy from a Swift concert stirred up even more intense reactions. Images emerged of what appeared to be a baby wearing noise-reducing earmuffs lying on the floor at a Swift show in Paris. The initial photo has since been deleted, but versions still circulate on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
The photo shows the baby lying on what seems to be a jacket, with feet surrounding the child, likely belonging to an adult attempting to protect them. This raised a significant fuss among concertgoers and online commenters alike.

La Défense Arena, the concert venue, responded to the uproar with a statement emphasizing their policies: “Paris La Defense Arena general terms and conditions of sale stipulate that all minors (without any age limit) holding a ticket for a concert at Paris La Défense arena must be accompanied by an adult.” The venue stressed that children under 18 are the responsibility of their legal guardians and mentioned that they had offered alternative seating arrangements to the ticket holders with the child, which were refused.
Whether it’s a sleepy concert-goer or the presence of a very young fan, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour seems to be a magnet for viral moments and lively debates. It highlights the varied experiences and strong emotions her concerts evoke, proving once again that Swift’s influence extends far beyond her music.
