McCarthy Shuts CNN Up – Watch
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has faced backlash from the mainstream media for allowing Fox News host Tucker Carlson access to tens of thousands of hours of Capitol security footage from the day of the January 6th Capitol breach. Yet, McCarthy stands by his decision and believes that granting Carlson access to the footage is the right thing to do.
McCarthy said that he doesn’t care what side of the issue someone is on, everybody should have access to the footage. He believes that putting the footage out for all to see allows the public to come to their own conclusions and that this is the best way to get the truth out.
When asked if he was concerned that Carlson might downplay the attack, McCarthy said that he thought it was a very serious attack. McCarthy also believes that the other media outlets are jealous of Carlson’s exclusive access to the footage, pointing out that press members often work off of exclusives.
