McDonalds & NASCAR COVID Announcements Could Be A Sign Of Things To Come
One of the nations largest fast food companies and NASCAR has recently made announcements regarding their COVID policy that could be a sign of things to come.
In lieu of a vaccine mandate, McDonalds announced that they will be implementing a mask mandate for all employees and customers in areas of high transmission.
The mandate applies to everyone regardless of vaccination status.
From the New York Post:
McDonald’s is requiring all customers and staff to wear masks again in US locations with high or substantial COVID-19 transmission, the company said Monday.
The updated McDonald’s policy applies to people who are fully vaccinated.
NASCAR also announced that they are changing their health protocols.
Starting with the events at Watkins Glen International, all personnel must wear a face mask in enclosed areas at all times regardless of vaccination status. Enclosed areas are defined as haulers, buildings, restrooms, the infield care center, race control, and suites.
So far Walmart, Target, Lowe’s and Kohl’s are only requiring employees wear masks but are encouraging customers to wear them as well.
Apple was the first retailer to impose a mask policy for consumers and employees regardless of vaccination status.
The new policies are a sign of the times because retailers do not want to risk the lawsuits that would follow the imposition of vaccine passports. Not only that, a retailer imposing tough restrictions will guarantee sabotaging any hopes of doing well during the upcoming holidays.
The far-left COVID restrictions crowd locked themselves in their homes for 18 months, retailers should be reminded it was the anti-lockdown crowd that has kept things a float. The COVID panicked far-left crowd isn’t going to spend their money and will stay home. Any restrictions that punish the anti-lockdown crowd will significantly hurt retailers.
Just ask Coke, Ben & Jerry’s, the Olympics, the NFL, and NBA if boycotts work.
