Media Busted Again: Posted Fake Story About ICU Nurse Treating Coronavirus Patients, She Hasn’t Worked In A Year!
CBS News posted a fake story about a supposed ICU nurse crying over poor working conditions. It turns out none of what the nurse claimed was true and CBS never vetted the video.
CBS News posted a video of a nurse claiming that she left her job after being told she must work in the ICU with coronavirus patients without a face mask.
“America is not prepared, and nurses are not being protected,” said the ICU nurse in the video. “I quit my job today. I went into work and I was assigned to a COVID patient on an ICU unit that has been converted to a designated COVID unit. None of the nurses are wearing masks.”
Thanks to some work from the people over at The Federalist it appears that the video is completely inaccurate. CBS never vetted the video, instead, they added music and captions to the women’s video that lied about her workplace situation.
The women goes by the name Imaris on social media and she is a social media influencer on Instagram.

Before CBS News posted the video, Imaris posted on her public Facebook page that she has been diagnosed with anxiety and bipolar depression and has not worked at the hospital in over a year. She stated that she isn’t sure if she is ready to go back to work because of the stress brought on by the coronavirus. She claimed that the information and danger having to do with the coronavirus “triggers” her.

Democrat primary candidate Senator Bernie Sanders even picked up on the video and he wrote, “It is insane that our nurses are being forced to care for the sick without masks and respirators. The Department of Labor must immediately issue emergency workplace standards to protect our health workers, their families, and their patients.”

Shame on CBS News for not vetting the video and shame on this woman for using nurses and doctors on the front line to try and boost her internet fame.
