Media Busted: Dem Lawmaker Praises Trump For Saving Her Life
The media has continued to slam the President over his touting of hydroxychloroquine to be used to treat the coronavirus. All the President is trying to do is save lives and give hope to people that may not have any hope left. The media has continued to attack the President claiming he should not speak on the matter but allow “experts” to make the decision on the drug.
In Michigan, the City of Detroit has become a hotspot for the virus. The city has the third-highest caseload in the country only to be topped by New Jersey and the New York City area. Michigan has also seen the third-highest death rate in the country.
State Rep. Karen Whitsett, who represents a section of the City of Detroit praised President Donald Trump for saving her life in her battle with the Chinese coronavirus.
Whitsett’s test came back positive for the coronavirus on Monday, she started taking hydroxychloroquine on March 31, prescribed by her doctor, both she and her husband were experiencing symptoms of the virus on March 18th.
“It was less than two hours” before she started to feel relief, said Whitsett, who had experienced shortness of breath, swollen lymph nodes, and what felt like a sinus infection. She is still experiencing headaches, she said.
Whitsett said that if it wasn’t for the President continuing to beat the drum about hydroxychloroquine it wouldn’t have been available for her.
“It has a lot to do with the president … bringing it up,” Whitsett said. “He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority.”
Initially, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer banned the anti-malaria, attempting to boost a political feud with the President in the midst of the virus. However, recently she has changed course and worked with the White House to allow hospitals to conduct trials of the drug.
