Ohio Deserves Disaster Because they are conservatives – WATCH
President Donald Trump visited East Palestine, Ohio, on Wednesday to show his support for the community after a train derailment caused a chemical spill. He donated thousands of gallons of cleaning supplies and over a dozen palettes of “Trump Spring Water“ to aid in the cleanup effort.
During his visit, President Trump told the local leaders, first responders, and media gathered at the fire station, “You are not forgotten. We stand with you. We pray for you. And we will stand with you and your fight to help ensure the accountability that you deserve.”
Unfortunately, the visit was overshadowed by Joy Behar’s outrageous comments on “The View” later that day. While blaming former President Trump for the train derailment, Behar said, “That’s who you voted for. I don’t know why they would ever vote for him, somebody who, by the way, he placed someone with deep ties to the chemical industry in charge of the EPA‘s chemical safety office. That’s who you voted for in that district — Donald Trump, who reduces all safety.”
Behar and Hostin’s implication that the people of East Palestine are to blame for the train derailment is a blatant misrepresentation of the facts. Trump’s visit is evidence of his commitment to the people of East Palestine, and it is unfair to accuse him of “reducing safety” when he has taken steps to increase safety regulations.
Furthermore, Behar’s criticism of President Biden’s response to the crisis was misguided. In a series of Tweets on Thursday, NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy brought up an argument about the type of brakes the train would have had if a rule had not been withdrawn by the Department of Transportation while under then President Donald Trump. Pete Buttigieg, the current Transportation Secretary pointed to the rule and mentioned how he and his department have been constrained by that rule. However, Homendy said the train traveling through East Palestine that derailed on Feb. 3 wouldn’t have had the brakes regardless of whether that rule was in effect or not.
Behar’s comments were a disservice to the people of East Palestine, who deserve to be recognized for the resilience they have displayed in the aftermath of the train derailment rather than used as a political tool to slam Donald Trump.

Joy Behar says the residents of East Palestine got what they deserved because they voted for Trump.
