O’Keefe Leaves Project Veritas After Giving An Ultimatum
James O’Keefe, the founder of the renowned investigative nonprofit Project Veritas, announced his exit from the organization on Monday. O’Keefe has been credited with exposing corruption and wrongdoing within some of the most powerful entities in the world and his departure comes as a shock to many. He has been met with disbelief and sadness from conservatives across the country.
In a video posted to Vimeo, O’Keefe said he had been “stripped of all decision-making last week” and was no longer employed at Project Veritas. “Currently, I have no job at Project Veritas,” he added. “I have no position here based upon what the board has done — so I’m announcing to you all that today, on President’s Day, I’m packing up my personal belongings here.” This comes after giving the Project Veritas Board an ultimatum that was not heeded.
R.C. Maxwell, a spokesman for Project Veritas, tweeted that O’Keefe “was removed from his position as CEO by the Project Veritas board.” O’Keefe hinted at his future after Project Veritas, saying “our mission continues on. I’m not done. The mission will perhaps take on a new name.”
The news of O’Keefe’s departure has Republicans and conservatives quick to point out the tremendous impact his work has had in uncovering corruption and promoting transparency. One of O’Keefe’s latest operations which exposed an alleged Pfizer research director spilling COVID secrets then having a meltdown when confronted gained millions of views and was credited with raising awareness of the issue.

The Project Veritas Board of Directors and Management said earlier in a statement they were “constantly evaluating what the best path forward is for the organization,” but did not directly address the situation involving O’Keefe.
Many conservatives have noted that O’Keefe’s departure is a loss for the free press and for the cause of transparency and justice. They have called on the Project Veritas Board of Directors to reconsider their decision and have pledged to support O’Keefe in his future endeavors.
