Watch: Pelosi Admission About Vote By Mail Tells You Everything You Need To Know About The 2022 Midterms
Democrats know in the House they are headed into a very uphill battle.
Since Biden has been in office America has started to decline and Pelosi’s own admission shows they are in trouble. During an interview with PBS she admitted if they could pass HR1 to increase vote by mail their chances would be better.
Notice she didn’t say they’d win, just that their chances would be better.
“Well, the elections are about campaigns, and we are ready.,” Pelosi said. “We are ready with our Ms: mobilization to own the ground to get out the vote with our message of unity for the people — again, so proud of what the Biden-Harris administration is putting forth — and then, of course, with the resources, the money that is needed to do this. But we would be better if we can [pass] H.R. and S. 1 in order to remove obstacles to participation for people to vote.”
On top of that three former DNCC chairs have sounded the alarms that Republicans could very well take over Congress.
The biggest tell is many House Democrats have announced they will not be running for re-election. Former Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY), DCCC head in 2012 and 2014 said, “The two biggest headaches of any cycle are redistricting and retirements, and when you have both in one cycle, it’s a migraine.”
Even Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL), who is considered Pelosi’s top enforcer said she will not be seeking reelection. Bustos just squeaked out a victory in 2020 and doesn’t seem to believe there is a path to victory in 2022.
Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) has also decided not to run for reelection and is going to challenge Gov. Ron DeSantis bid for a second term. In Pennsylvania two other Congressman Rep. Conor Lamb and Chrissy Houlahan are considering jumping ship as well as several on congressional Democrats in Arizona, Texas, and Ohio.
Lastly, if the special election in Texas 6 was a sign of things to come I’m not sure that even vote-by-mail would help Pelosi.
