Watch: In One Sentence Transportation Sec Buttigieg Displays Just How Stupid He Really Is
If the Democrats think that Mayor Pete is going to be their savior they should think again because in one sentence Buttigieg displaying just how stupid and out of touch he is.
While appearing on MSNBC Mayor Pete claimed that families who own electric vehicles would see a “$12,500 discount” in costs.
“The people who stand to benefit most from owning an EV [electric vehicle] are often rural residents who have the most distances to drive, who burn the most gas, and underserved urban residents in areas where there are higher gas prices and lower income,” Buttigieg said.
“They would gain the most by having that vehicle,” he added. “These are the very residents who have not always been connected to electric vehicles that are viewed as kind of a luxury item.”
Transportation Sec. Buttigieg says families who buy electric vehicles “never have to worry about gas prices again.”
Adding, low-income Americans “would gain the most by having that vehicle.”

“Everyone can probably afford electric cars in the world that Pete Buttigieg lives in,” tweeted former Trump White House communications official Mercedes Schlapp. “Average Americans struggling with record high gas prices? Not so much.”

As of October the average price of a new electric vehicle was $55,676 and depending on where you live you may only be able to charge it at your home. In comparison, the average cost of a car was $25,240 and you can find fuel everywhere.
AAA has estimated that owning a new electrical vehicle cost about $600 more a year than owning a gas-powered vehicle.
I’m sure Mayor Pete’s buddies can afford a $80,000 Tesla however the rest of us in realville are struggling to afford our groceries because of the Brandon administrations incompetence.
