Podcaster Discusses Hegseth Meeting
Joe Rogan doesn’t pull punches — and in his latest podcast episode, he launched a full-blown assault on what he sees as ideological rot inside the U.S. military. In a fiery segment that aired ahead of Pete Hegseth’s much-anticipated address at Quantico, Rogan made it abundantly clear: he’s fed up with what he calls “identity politics bullshit” infiltrating the highest levels of military command.
With his trademark intensity, Rogan went after the Biden administration for appointing what he described as “crazy people” to critical defense positions. His chief concern? That ideological agendas are replacing military readiness — a concern shared by former Army officer and Fox News personality Pete Hegseth, now taking an active role in pushing to purge the command structure of what both men consider distractions from preparedness.
“No more identity politics and bullshit. The most important thing is be ready,” Rogan said flatly, cutting through the noise with the kind of directness his listeners have come to expect. And “be ready” wasn’t just a catchphrase — it was the core of a warning.

According to Rogan, Hegseth was preparing to address a room of top military brass with a message that veers sharply away from DEI training manuals and back toward old-school military discipline.
Rogan described it as a call for a “moral and ethical mandate” — one rooted in capability, not politics. He echoed the frustration of many veterans and current service members who see the recent cultural shift in military leadership as undermining the very readiness it’s supposed to protect.
Then came the part that made headlines.
Rogan and his guest, Andy Bishop, didn’t shy away from naming names. In a particularly scathing moment, Rogan brought up Sam Brinton — the former DOE official who made waves for his non-binary identity and then headlines for allegedly stealing luggage at an airport.
“That guy was in charge of f**king nuclear waste! And he [was] running around stealing people’s underwear,” Rogan exclaimed, highlighting the absurdity of a personnel choice that, in his view, reflects misplaced priorities.
Behind the colorful language and sharp-edged humor, Rogan’s point was unmistakable: the military’s core mission — defending the nation with lethal force and unmatched readiness — is being sidelined by politics that have no place on the battlefield.
