Radical Oregon Governor Humiliated After Sheriff’s Tell It Like It Is
Radical Oregon Governor Kate Brown was humiliated after Washington and Clackamas County Sheriff’s tell it like it is.
Recently, Gov. Kate Brown released a plan to deal with the unrest in Portland that has been ongoing for over 90 days.
Brown said that she was going to send a surge of state police, deputies from surrounding counties, and the Gresham Police department to help the Portland Police Bureau “to keep the peace and protect free speech.”
Read my plan to protect free speech and end violence in Portland. I will continue to work with local and community leaders to bring all voices to the table to end the nightly confrontations and commit to bring about real change and racial justice. https://t.co/e3AkTjaI4V

There was just one problem, she never spoke with the local sheriff’s before she rebased her plan and they have no wish to help the governor. From their perspective, Portland needs to stop releasing rioters and convicting them.
Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts said that the governor never spoke with him over her plan to use his agency in Portland and that his department will not participate.
Roberts said that “the criminal justice system will need to do its part and hold offenders accountable.”

“Had Governor Brown discussed her plan with my office, I would have told her it’s about changing policy, not adding resources,” he said, according to a statement released by Kellee Azar, a reporter with Portland’s KATU. “Increasing law enforcement resources in Portland will not solve the nightly violence and now, murder.”
“The same offenders are arrested night after night, only to be released by the court and not charged with a crime by the DA’s Office. The next night they are back at it, endangering the lives of law enforcement and the community all over again,” Roberts continued. “The criminal justice system will need do its part and hold offenders accountable.”
Roberts said that he will still assist Oregon State Police with service calls inside the county should resources be moved to Portland.
Let’s not forget that Gov. Brown could activate her National Guard soldiers anytime she wants to help quell the violence and she has not. The state has also refused help from the Trump Administration.
