Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Leaves NYC in an Uproar – Watch
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene created a tsunami effect in New York City after appearing alongside a protest focused on the indictment and arrest of former President Donald Trump.
She left the far-left fuming, congressman Jamaal Bowman even demanded that she leave. Those protesting the protesters even tried to accost her.
Greene spoke to Trump supporters through a megaphone outside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse on Tuesday. Counter-protesters blew whistles and chanted for her to “go home.”
Rep. Greene’s appearance caused New York Mayor Eric Adams to denounce her hateful rhetoric and House Democratic Leader Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), who told her to “go back” to Georgia.
Greene left NYC but wasn’t done creating her firestorm. She appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss her ordeal and started more controversy by saying that the city “stinks.”
“I compared it to what I call Gotham City. It’s disgusting… It was repulsive, it smells bad. I think it’s a very terrible place,” Greene told Carlson.
Tom Nichols, a self-proclaimed “expert” and generic neoconservative loser, complained that a Democrat would never get away with calling a Southern city “smelly and disgusting.”
Hold on here…what party is it that makes sarcastic comments about the “flyover states?”
And what about the time when former President Barack Obama talked about the red-state people being too religious and attached to their guns?
So playing the victim of a politician calling your city “smelly” doesn’t pass the smell test.
In an interview with NBC News from inside her car, Greene said that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is “not prosecuting President Trump, they’re persecuting him.”
Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York celebrated a report that her far-right colleague from Georgia was heckled Tuesday in New York City.
“Welcome to NYC!,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted with a Statue of Liberty emoji. “Where there are still social consequences for shameless bigotry.”

Exactly this. If someone from Boston or NYC went to a southern city and talked about how smelly and disgusting it was, we’d never hear the end of it. This shows how much conservative media infantilizes their viewership, like children who must be indulged. https://t.co/UZMLLdbFWx
