Say It Ain’t So, Joe, You’re Messing with the Military?
You would think that the one area that Biden’s handlers would make sure was handled correctly would be with America’s military. But they were at the forefront of the president’s latest bungle.
The welfare of the globe has maintained basic stability for the last 80 years because of the American military. Our Navy can beat every other navy in the world combined. And they have ensured that the waterways are safe for international trade.
Robert Kaplan wrote the “undeniable fact of American power” has “protected the sea lanes, the maritime choke points, and access to hydrocarbons, and in general provided some measure of security to the world.”
Some have questioned whether the powerful U.S. Nave is strong enough to withstand the Biden Administration.
It seems that the present Congress along with the White House are doing whatever they can to make our Navy weaker. And this is happening while our two biggest adversaries are becoming more bold. Russia is aggressively creating a war against the Ukrainian people, and China is growling at Taiwan.
Biden’s team has tried to sneak into the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that it would require commercial suppliers to the military to disclose proprietary information about material sourcing and prices. This would force them to either violate their partnership agreements or risk false claim act penalties.
If the government demands companies disclose privileged information about their supply chain, pricing model, and other logistics, they expose their business model to competitors. This will surely cause some companies to leave the defense space or risk leaking technical information that should be kept a secret.
Come on, Joe…You should know better than this. Where is somebody on your cabinet reeling you in on these issues? You can’t make these kinds of bungles with our precious military.
