Secret Service Investigating Allegation After North Carolina Rally
Folks, there’s a serious situation unfolding with the U.S. Secret Service that has many people raising their eyebrows—and rightfully so. When it comes to protecting a former president and major 2024 candidate like Donald Trump, there’s absolutely no room for error. But the latest string of incidents has shown some glaring failures that are hard to overlook.
The most alarming episode took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, where the Secret Service failed to secure a rally site properly. This nearly led to an assassination attempt on Trump by Thomas Matthew Crooks. The details of how Crooks was able to get into position are downright chilling. He managed to scale the rooftop of the American Glass Research building without any interference. Local SWAT teams were aware of his presence—they even had photos and descriptions—but somehow, this information never made it to the Secret Service. The agency didn’t have access to the local radio system, a critical lapse that could have had deadly consequences. To top it off, numerous bystanders reportedly saw Crooks on the roof, openly carrying an AR-15-style rifle, as he prepared to open fire.
I have just obtained a photo that was taken by individual at rally in PA of Crooks with the gun used to shoot at President Trump walking around building prior to assassination attempt. Now, you’d think that after such a close call, the Secret Service would be tightening up their operations, but the hits just keep on coming. The former director of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, resigned after trying to explain away the agency’s failure to position agents on the rooftop due to “safety concerns.” That excuse didn’t sit well with anyone, and it’s been downhill from there.
The dysfunction within Trump’s Secret Service detail doesn’t stop at Pennsylvania. Reports have surfaced that agents assigned to protect him at Mar-a-Lago have been caught sleeping on the job. That’s right—sleeping, while on duty, at a location that’s supposed to be one of the most secure in the country. And if that weren’t enough, a new incident has emerged from a Trump visit to North Carolina that’s got everyone talking.

According to a report by Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics, a female Secret Service special agent abandoned her post just five minutes before Trump’s motorcade was set to arrive. Why? To breastfeed her baby. Now, let’s be clear—working moms face unique challenges, and balancing work and parenting is no small task. But when your job involves the safety of the former president of the United States, there are protocols in place for a reason. In this case, the agent didn’t have permission to step away, and her actions could have compromised the entire event’s security.
The situation becomes even more concerning when you consider how she got to that room. She reportedly bypassed a checkpoint with two family members who hadn’t been cleared by the Secret Service, escorted by an event staff member who was also unpinned. This means that the room, which was supposed to be reserved for Secret Service work, was occupied by unauthorized personnel just as Trump was about to arrive.

When contacted about the incident, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi downplayed its impact, stating that the event proceeded without issue and that the matter is under review. But the fact remains that this is just one more incident in a string of failures that have put Trump at risk.
