Sen. Ted Cruz Makes Dems Face Hypocrisy – Watch
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) issued a crucial reminder on Tuesday about the Democrats’ treatment of Dianne Feinstein, the 88-year-old California Democrat who is facing a recall election.
“Democrats are trying to recall Dianne Feinstein because she’s too old,” Cruz tweeted. “But they were fine with Joe Biden being too old to be president.”
Feinstein is the oldest sitting senator in American history. She was first elected to the Senate in 1992. Biden is the oldest president in American history. He was elected in 2020 at the age of 78.
Cruz’s tweet comes as Democrats are facing a growing backlash over their efforts to recall Feinstein. The recall election is scheduled for September 14.
A recent poll found that 59% of California voters oppose the recall. The poll also found that 53% of voters have an unfavorable view of Feinstein.
The Democrats’ decision to recall Feinstein is a sign of their desperation. They know that they are facing a tough election in November, and they are hoping to boost their turnout by recalling a popular Democratic incumbent.
However, the recall effort is likely to backfire. It will only serve to remind voters of the Democrats’ hypocrisy on the issue of age.
The Democrats are trying to have it both ways. They want to criticize Feinstein for being too old, but they are perfectly fine with Biden being too old.
This hypocrisy is not lost on voters. They are tired of the Democrats’ double standards.
The recall election is a referendum on the Democrats’ hypocrisy. If Feinstein is recalled, it will be a major victory for the Republicans and a sign that the Democrats are out of touch with the American people.
“And so it raises an obvious question, why the double standard? Why is she the target of their ire,” Cruz concluded the segment with, speaking about the lack of calls for Biden or Fetterman to resign.
