Sen. Ted Cruz Throws Truth In The Face Of Chicago Mayor After She Scolded Him
On Wednesday Sen. Ted Cruz silenced the Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot, these two have been involved in a twitter battle for the past few days.
On Monday Cruz tweeted, “Gun control doesn’t work. Look at Chicago. Disarming law-abiding citizens isn’t the answer. Stopping violent criminals—prosecuting & getting them off the street—BEFORE they commit more violent crimes is the most effective way to reduce murder rates. Let’s protect our citizens.”

The Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot responded by claiming gun laws in red states arm Chicago criminals and she told Cruz to “Keep our name out of your mouth.”

Lightfoot then blamed Republicans and said, “if you really care about Chicagoans, Texans and everyone facing gun violence, take action. Tell @senatemajldr it’s time for 1. Universal background checks 2. An assault weapons ban 3. Those reforms will save lives. Do your job.”

Cruz hit the nail on the head, stop liberal policies that allow violent offenders back on the street and keep them in jail.
