Senator Comments On Vivek Role
The appointment of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has sent Democratic leaders into a frenzy, particularly Senator Elizabeth Warren, who hasn’t held back her criticism.
Warren took to X (formerly Twitter) to mock the choice, questioning the efficiency of having “two people to do the work of one.” Yet, her comments quickly backfired, as critics pointed out that her own party’s spending habits are hardly models of efficiency or fiscal restraint.
The Office of Government Efficiency is off to a great start with split leadership: two people to do the work of one person.
Yeah, this seems REALLY efficient. https://t.co/XXKvrUAPkE

Warren’s skepticism, however, missed the mark in more ways than one. Not only did she get the department’s name wrong, calling it the “Office of Government Efficiency” instead of “Department,” but her critique struck many as ironic, coming from a party that has been widely criticized for ballooning federal spending.
Under the current administration, inflation has surged, and Americans are facing higher prices across the board, largely due to unchecked government expenditures. Warren’s critique of the DOGE setup also ignores a critical point: this new department is precisely aimed at reining in government excess—a notion that has resonated with many taxpayers weary of waste and inefficiency in Washington.
I think this is worth pointing out. https://t.co/jYv8Xp5P88 pic.twitter.com/2MInwm3DEZ

Andy Roth from the State Freedom Caucus Network delivered a response that perfectly captured the sentiment: Democrats, known for their top-down bureaucratic approaches, now appear flustered by the idea of a government agency run with the rigor and innovation of a private-sector enterprise. Musk and Ramaswamy’s entrepreneurial track records speak for themselves.
Musk famously turned Twitter around by slashing its workforce and freeing up the platform’s operations, suggesting that he could bring the same radical efficiency to the sprawling U.S. bureaucracy. Meanwhile, Ramaswamy’s background in biotech and sharp criticism of corporate “woke-ism” position him as a figure ready to challenge the entrenched inefficiencies that have plagued government agencies for years.

The mission behind DOGE—one of the most ambitious efforts proposed to streamline federal operations—is precisely what countless Americans have been calling for: a leaner, more effective government. In an era where federal bloat and red tape have weighed down progress, Musk and Ramaswamy represent a complete departure from the typical bureaucratic mindset. Their task is daunting, no doubt, but if they approach it with the same bold, results-driven mindset that has defined their private sector careers, DOGE could become the blueprint for a new era of government management.
