More Biden Dysfunction: Buttigieg Goes Dark After Southwest Comes Clean
For the third day in a row Southwest has had to cancel flights initially blaming the weather.
On Saturday afternoon Southwest issued a written statement that a computer issue and weather were causing a backup:
“ATC issues and disruptive weather have resulted in a high volume of cancellations throughout the weekend while we work to recover our operation. We appreciate your patience as we accommodate affected Customers, and Customer Service wait times are longer than usual.”
Magically no other airline was affected.
On Monday, the backup over the weekend caused Southwest to cancel hundreds of flights and the CEO admitted it was because of staffing issues.

There are also reports that Secretary Pete’s office has been getting hammered with phone calls from CEO’s and lobbyists. They want Biden to back off the vaccine mandate because they are worried it is going to cripple the country.
Independent journalists Alex Berenson reported on why you won’t hear anything about a walkout from employees.
A Southwest Airlines pilot explained any acknowledgement of a sickout from the employees union would make it an illegal job action. The pilot told Berenson that there is enormous “anger internally” among all workers and that employees don’t “even have to talk to each other about what they’re doing.”
From Alex Berenson:
This pilot believes that the fact that the airlines received $25 billion in no-strings-attached cash for “payroll support” last year (as well another $25 billion in loans) has made them particularly reluctant to stand up to the Biden administration. Southwest’s CEO, Gary Kelly, may be in an especially tough spot since he is the head of the airline lobbying group.
As of the writing of this post there has been a complete blackout from the media and the White House regarding the disruption.
Over the weekend Amtrak was forced to cancel trains “due to unforeseen crew issues.”
