Special Election Election Massacre In Blue Stronghold Leaves Democrats In Shock

A solid blue district has fallen by a landslide and it has left Democrats shaking their heads.

Democrats in Iowa have lost House District 29 which was considered a stronghold to a Republican and former pastor Jon Dunwell.

“Thank you, Jasper County, for putting your faith in me to be your voice in the Iowa Statehouse,” Dunwell said in the statement. “Throughout this campaign, I have had the honor of hearing from so many of you — those who agreed with me and those who offered opposing viewpoints. I have learned so much and am eager to get to work representing each and every one of you.”

“Iowans have spoken loud and clear in these last two special elections about the direction we are taking the state,” Reynolds said in a statement. “Candidates who stood strongly for parental choice, personal responsibility, and pro-growth policies were successful. And we are just getting started.”

“Jon has flipped a seat held by Democrats for decades,” House Speaker Pat Grassley, R-New Hartford, said in a statement. “This is further confirmation that Iowans are resoundingly rejecting the liberal policies coming from D.C. and influencing the Democratic Party in Iowa.”

Iowa’s House District 29 was considered a solid blue district, a Republican hasn’t won an election in the area for years. The election wasn’t competitive at all, Dunwell took 60% of the vote.

Apparently Republicans just won a district that went blue in 2020 in Iowa by nearly 20 points.

Here’s another side Democrats know what the future holds, Pelosi is washing her hands of Joe Biden.

Normally, Pelosi would be rally the troops and getting the Congress on board to pass bills for a Democrat president but that’s not happening. With Biden as unpopular as ever and showing no organizational skills Pelosi down.

“Pelosi discussing giving authority to raise the debt ceiling to the Biden Treasury would be a total abdication of Congress’s Constitutional duties by the Democrat Party,” Adam Korzeniewski, a former Treasury Department appointee said. “This would give substantial authority to the Executive Branch that it was never meant to” have due to “meddling unelected bureaucratic mandarins of the administrative state.”

“If Pelosi/DCCC expected a Biden Administration going into 2024, or holding the House/Senate in 2022, they would not be throwing him under the bus right now with such a terrifying idea of giving [Tresurary Secretary Janet] Yellen the debt ceiling limit,” Korzeniewski said. “They’re running with a ‘Blame Biden’ strategy,” which will “likely end in electoral defeats.”
