State Wants Law To Punish Police And Hints At Using National Guard To Enforce Anti-Gun Law
In the fall Michael Bloomberg dumped money into the campaigns of Democrats running for Virginia state legislator. In return he wanted strong anti-gun laws and a ban of the AR-15 and he got what he asked for. Serval county sheriffs in Virginia declared their counties “Second Amendment Sanctuaries” stating they will not enforce the new anti-gun laws. In response some law makers are considering using the National Guard to do their dirty work and increasing budgets to incarcerate more people.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam isn’t even trying to hid what he’s doing and I think he is looking forward to locking up all those conservatives. With the help he has gotten from Democrat primary presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg $1.5 million dollars went into the coffers of Democrat campaigns to pass the anti-gun “Everytown for Gun Safety” act was passed.
The most recent budget passed in the state house HB30 shows Virginia is getting ready to lock a bunch of people up.
Law Enforcement Today reports:
In the bill, $250,000 is appropriated to assist with enforcement of Northam’s gun control measures.
According to the bill, the money is appropriated for the “estimated net increase in the operating cost of adult correctional facilities resulting from the enactment of sentencing legislation as listed below.”
It appropriates $50,000 for enforcement of each of five areas:
- Allow the removal of firearms from persons who pose substantial risk to them or others- $50,000
- Prohibit the sale, possession, transport of assault firearms, trigger activators and silencers- $50,000
- Increase the penalty for allowing a child to access unsecured firearms – $50,000
- Prohibit possession of firearms for persons subject to final orders of protection- $50,000
- Require background checks for all firearms sales- $50,000
In other words, “we know people are not going to comply, so we are going to lock them up.”
In response to the counties and local municipalities that have declared themselves sanctuary zones, Democrat Representative Donald McEachin said, “I’m not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law. That’s his call, because I don’t know how serious these counties are and how severe the violations of law will be. But that’s obviously an option he has.”
The State Legislator is also looking to pass a bill that will punish police officers that refuse to enforce the gun confiscation laws.
In a four page opinion piece Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring slammed the “Second Amendment Sanctuaries” municipalities.
“When the General Assembly passes new gun safety laws, they will be enforced, and they will be followed. These [Second Amendment Sanctuary] resolutions have no legal force, and they’re just part of an effort by the gun lobby to stoke fear.”
A spokesman for the governor claims the National Guard is not on the table, but with the amount of resistance to this bill and the bill targeting police officers you gotta wonder what would the next option.
Gun advocate Cam Edwards want citizens to make sure they know all the facts and beware of the many rumors surrounding this law.
If he does, @GovernorVA would be the first governor to use the National Guard to prevent the exercise of a constitutional right since Orval Faubus called out the Guard in Arkansas to keep black students out of a Little Rock high school. https://t.co/TwIKZ1DnR9

Former NYC cop and homeland security expert Rob O’Donnell put it best though…
They are setting a course of action by these threats that will be irreversible once the first shot is fired. American soldiers must never confront the American populace for protecting the constitution.
