Texas Governor Abbott Has No Problem Putting New York City Mayor in His Place
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has raised the ire of the progressives by announcing his “charter bus” plan for illegal immigrants dropped off in Texas towns because of President Biden’s failed open border policies.
Abbott announced that busloads of immigrants would be taken from Texas and dropped off in Washington D.C.
“We are sending them to the United States Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” Abbott stated.
Not long after that, New York City was added to the destination list for the Texas busloads. This created a great deal of tension with the New York City mayor, Eric Adams. He repeatedly lashed out at the Texas governor accusing him of cruelty. At one point, Mayor Adams even threatened to get a busload of New Yorkers to travel to Texas with him so they could convince voters to vote against Abbott in the next election.
Just recently, Adams said that Abbott was an “anti-American governor.”
But Governor Abbott wasn’t frazzled by the newbie mayor from NYC. He appeared on Fox News this week and gave the perfect response. He made the case that Democrats, including the Biden Administration, did not care at all about how immigration impacts Texas towns.
He said, They’ll pay attention and perhaps even start tightening the border once they start showing up in Democrat-run cities like NYC and D.C., especially when the “leaders” of those cities start openly whining about it, as both Adams and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser have done.”

Because Adams also falsely claimed that Texas was “forcing” these immigrants to go where they did not want to go, Abbott’s office provided Fox News with a copy of their “consent to transport” form.
We’ll see if that quiets down the young mayor.
