The Real Resistance: Counties Revolt And Businesses Bolt, Democrats Are Losing Everywhere

You wouldn’t know it on CNN but Democrats are losing even in liberal strongholds like California, people are sick and tired of lockdown policies being implemented by Democrat governors.

Let’s start in Pennsylvania where the Gov. Tom Wolf is claiming to use common core style math to open the state. According to the Governor, counties can only move into the yellow phase when they reached an average of 50 cases per 100,000 and some other calculations however, that doesn’t seem to be the case. It appears more that his actual plan is to open the state gradually by region starting with the rural areas first and is using the test numbers as supplement information. 

In late April Wolf announced that 24  counties could move to the yellow phase, then on May 8th after he extended the state at home order until June 6th and announced 13 more counties could enter the yellow phase on May 15th. Those 13 counties are in the southwest area of the state, the issue is that counties in the south-central area of the state already meet the governors’ requirements and are furious they can’t reopen.

County District Attorney’s in the South Central have come together and announced that they will not prosecute social distancing or businesses reopening during the remainder of the shutdown and three counties including the Dauphin county – home to Harrisburg that capital city of Pennsylvania.

In a very nice letter Lebanon County commissioners sent a letter to Gov. Wolf:

We have heard the pleas of our residents who desire the ability to safely reopen their businesses and safely return to work. Lebanon County plans to move forward and will require businesses who are ready to reopen to follow CDC guidelines including requirements such as hand washing, social distancing, and masks until further guidance is received for the county to move to the green phase.

Next up is California where The CEO of Telsa Elon Musk just announced he’s leaving the state over the way they’ve handled the coronavirus pandemic. In a series of tweets Musk hammered county officials and the State of California informing them he’s moving Telsa to Nevada and Texas.

 

In Michigan, a 77-year-old Barber, Karl Manke opened his shop and the Michigan State Police served him papers ordering him to close his shop, Manke refuses.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Director Robert Gordon ordered the shop closed deeming it an “imminent danger” to public health. Local police in the area also charged Manke with two misdemeanors and is scheduled to appear in court on June 23rd.

“I’ve lived under 14 presidents and this is the worst depression I’ve lived under and I’m not going to live under it,” Manke said. “I believe it’s my right to work to make my living and that’s what I’m going to do.”

Manke also disclosed that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s unemployment division had yet to complete his unemployment claim which would have helped him pay his bills.  Manke isn’t just recklessly opening either he wears a mask, washes his hands between cuts, and – get this – uses an ultraviolet sanitizer on his tools because it kills viruses.

“I’ll be here until Jesus comes,” he said. 

I don’t care what Jake Tapper, Chuck Todd, or Nancy Pelosi’s says the Democrats are losing everywhere people are getting fed up.
