The Rhinos Are At It Again: Cindy McCain Complains About the GOP & President Trump
Some considered the former Senator John McCain to be an icon and others saw him as a slimy beltway politician. However, it was no secret he hated President Trump and had contempt for those that voted for him.
Now, almost one year after his death his wife Cindy McCain rips Republicans and the President while speaking to ABC News.
During the interview, McCain said that her husband was “always the guy fighting for the little guy.”
Cindy McCain continued saying, “he would also be the voice of reason in all of this, which is what we’re sorely lacking right now is his voice of reason and his understanding of the purpose and the ability to be able to work across the aisle on these issues. That’s how we worked for so many years. And now to just close ranks and not talk to anybody doesn’t make any sense. I don’t think anybody is, that was a tough torch to carry, and as John said, there were many lonely days because he always said what was on his mind,” adding, “He never did anything deliberately to be hurtful. I don’t see anybody carrying that mantle at all; I don’t see anyone carrying the voice, the voice of reason mantle right now.”
The former Senator passed away last August and gave the President fits during his last days in the Senate. Senator McCain was most recently known for his thumbs down vote that killed any chance to repeal Obamacare.
