There’s One Tweet That Cheney Must Regret…Take a Look
In the coming days, Liz Cheney’s list of regrets may get longer and longer. But right now, there is one tweet that she must regret more than anything else.
Before we look at the infamous tweet, let’s remember the highs and lows of her now dormant political career. She is the daughter of the former vice president and therefore a member of a Wyoming political dynasty. Cheney’s career peaked with 2016 at large election for a seat in the House. She would become one of the highest ranking GOP leaders in Congress as a Republican Conference chair.
But then she got confused. She didn’t think about what her constituents wanted from her and she started bad-mouthing her own political party. She punctuated this by obsessively going after former President Donald Trump.
Cheney’s actions portrayed someone who “knew better” than her constituents in Wyoming.
Now for the one tweet that she should regret the most. It came early on in her primary race for reelection. Her presumption and pride were on full display.
Trump issued his endorsement for Cheney’s rival for the GOP seat, Harriet Hageman in the primary election. Trump wrote that Hageman had his “Complete and Total Endorsement in replacing the Democrats number one provider of sound bites, Liz Cheney.”
But Cheney underestimated the power of the former president. She took an offensive posture and offered a tweet where she said, “Here’s a sound bite for you: Bring it.”

Well, Hageman, Trump, and the entire GOP constituency in Wyoming “brought it!” Cheney lost the election by more than 35 points. She had previously won the seat by more than 70 points.
What’s the Bible say about “pride going before a fall?”
Cheney did exactly what Hillary did in 2016, she considered Trump to be a joke. Who’s laughing now?
I’d say that Cheney is now out to pasture, but that would imply that she spends any time in Wyoming.
