Trump Cuts Global LGBTQ Funding, Promises $5K Dividend
President Donald Trump has stopped the flow of U.S. taxpayer money to global LGBTQ groups. The move happened fast. A report from The Daily Caller details how the funding vanished. According to the findings, by February 2025, termination notices were arriving.
The report surveyed 229 organizations across 94 countries. Many of them said they lost U.S. taxpayer funding since January 2025. Nearly half of those groups lost more than half their total budget. Forty percent now face severe or immediate risk of closure. This shift happened after the President took action to stop the spending.
The report lists exactly where those dollars were going before the stop. A group in the Dominican Republic used money to find and ready LGBTQ candidates for elected positions. The report called this a “pipeline for queer political participation.” In Hungary, grants trained activists to respond to “anti-gender discourse.” In Turkey, a trans-led “climate crisis and emergency response program” had to close its office and lay off staff.
A number of Western countries try to impose their values on #Qatar. No respect to national traditions and values of Qatar as an Islamic state. Why are they doing that? Yet another example of totalitarian trends in the policies of the West.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast spoke out about the spending in February 2025. He noted that USAID spent $15 million for condoms to the Taliban. He also cited $3,315,446 for “being LGBTQ in the Caribbean.” Funding of another $1.5 million supported job promotion for LGBTQ individuals. Mast noted that the State Department spent $20,600 on a drag show in Ecuador and $47,020 for a transgender opera in Colombia.
While global spending stopped, President Trump offered a new plan for Americans at the GOP midterm convention in Dallas. He vowed to pass “the Great Healthcare plan” to crack down on insurance companies. He promised to stop government payments to big insurance firms. The money would go directly to the people instead. Trump said this would let families buy their own healthcare and keep the rest.
He also offered a major financial incentive for the upcoming election. Trump said that if Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, he would issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000. He compared the idea to a successful company giving cash to its shareholders. The goal is to end surprise medical billing and make prescription drug price cuts permanent.
The President told the crowd in Dallas that their vote matters for the future. He warned that handing the future to Democrats would mean a decade of struggle. The plan relies on the voters to keep control of Congress. If they do, the $5,000 check goes out.
