Trump Posts Message During Easter
On Easter Sunday, Donald Trump once again reminded the world that his brand of political theater spares no holiday—even one as sacred and solemn as the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.
In classic Trumpian fashion, the former President took to Truth Social with a message that managed to combine Easter well-wishes with scathing political attacks, bitter grievances, and a dash of conspiracy—the signature cocktail his base has come to expect.
The post began with a sardonic “Happy Easter” directed at what he called “Radical Left Lunatics,” a phrase now so synonymous with his online presence that it could practically be trademarked. But this wasn’t a mere rhetorical jab.
Trump unleashed a barrage of accusations: from alleged efforts to flood the country with violent criminals to accusations of treachery from law enforcement and judges whom he considers complicit in a “sinister attack” on America. The invective was dramatic, unmistakable, and delivered with the fiery certainty that fuels his movement.
From there, Trump pivoted to familiar themes: the 2020 election, which he continues to insist was “CHEATED,” and President Biden, whom he labeled “our WORST and most Incompetent President.”
His language was not merely critical—it was theatrical, even apocalyptic, casting Biden’s immigration policies as “the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America.” In a flourish of irony, Trump closed his political grenade with a faux-affectionate “Happy Easter!!!”—three exclamation points and all.
And yet, in a separate, more conventional post earlier that day, Trump offered a more traditional Easter greeting.
This one, co-signed with former First Lady Melania Trump, struck a different tone—reverent, calm, and respectful: “May this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. HE IS RISEN!!” It was a rare moment of stillness, however brief, amidst the political storm.
Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance spent the holiday in Rome, where he met with Pope Francis. The visit was framed in stark contrast to Trump’s online fusillade—graceful, diplomatic, and spiritual. The Vatican extended Easter hospitality to Vance’s family, and the Vice President responded with gratitude and prayers for the Pope’s health.
