Turns Out It’s a Liberal Supreme Court Justice with Ethical Problems – Watch
Don ’t look now, but the Democrats are running away from their ethics investigations of Supreme Court Justices as fast as they can! But the can’t run from one of the oldest rules in politics, if a Democrat is accusing a Republican of doing something, it is the Democrat who is inevitably actually doing it.
That is what happened again Wednesday after a major story broke about Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. She was called into question when it was revealed that Sotomayor took $3.6 million from a book company that had business before the court at the time
For the last few weeks, there’s been a coordinated assault on the court’s conservatives. But essentially everything charged amounted to nothing legally or ethically. It turns out that Justice Thomas did not have to report free travel he has received and misreported income was really just a simple technical mistake.
As for Neil Gorsuch, he was accused of selling land to the executive of a law firm that had business before the Supreme Court. But the person he sold it to had no business at all before the court at the time.
But this is the story reported about Justice Sotomayor:
“Liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor declined to recuse herself from multiple copyright infringement cases involving book publisher Penguin Random House despite having been paid millions by the firm for her books, making it by far her largest source of income, records show.
In 2010, she got a $1.2 million book advance from Knopf Doubleday Group, a part of the conglomerate. In 2012, she reported receiving two advance payments from the publisher totaling $1.9 million.”
The publishing company in question actually stood to lose money depending on how the court ruled, yet she took millions of dollars from it anyway and then didn’t recuse herself from the case.
I wonder if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez be filing articles of impeachment against Sotomayor?
Sonia Sotomayor received over $3 million for her books from Penguin Random House publishing and then didn't recuse herself from a case in which they were involved before SCOTUS where the company stood to lose money.
What did Clarence Thomas do again?https://t.co/PQxF53RmC1
