Uncovering the Mystery Around Dr. Jill
Who is the real Dr. Jill Biden? She’s still a bit of a mystery. First of all, the title “Dr.” Is a bit confusing. Let’s get it straight.
Dr. Biden earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in educational leadership from the University of Delaware in 2007. That is certainly an accomplishment and she should be respected for it. But many believe that she is a medical doctor.
Even Whoopi Goldberg said that she hopes Dr. Jill will become the next surgeon general because she is such a “great doctor.”
Recently the First Lady interviewed with “Real Simple Magazine.” It’s a lifestyle magazine that includes cooking secrets and shopping tips. The headline of the story reads: “Exclusive: First Lady Dr. Jill Biden on What It Means to Be a Working Mom.”
What…wait?
Dr. Jill is a working mom? Her last child was born in 1981! Maybe she was referring to her stepson, Hunter. He could sure use some tough love.
The magazine asked her in the interview if she wished she had more time to spend on parenting.
“Of course! Especially when you have kids, right? You’re always thinking, ‘Did I spend enough time at his game?’ Or, ‘Should I have said that?’ You’re always questioning yourself because you want to be the best mother you can be, the best teacher you can be,” Dr. Jill responded.
She definitely must be talking about Hunter. Maybe he is in an over 40 softball league.
The First Lady then waxes eloquently about leaving Post-It notes to remind the fam to cut the lemons and tomatoes.
By the end of the article, this working mom gets to her real issue.
“I wish people could see more of what Joe has accomplished and how hard he’s working. Sometimes it feels like we’re pushing this boulder up the hill, but progress is being made,” Dr. Jill confessed.
Here’s the real problem, Joe might be working but his policies sure aren’t.
