Utah’s Had Enough And Intros A Bill To Deal With Romney
Republican state legislators in Utah and their voters have quite frankly had enough of their wishy-washy wayward senator. They have decided to take matters into their own hand and introduced a bill so that voters can deal with Senators they aren’t happy with.
Republican Utah state Rep. Tim Quinn has introduced a bill in the state’s legislature that will let voters recall their US senators. Quinn claims this isn’t a swipe at Romney and doesn’t target anyone.
Sure it doesn’t. (sarcasm)
The bill would let voters petition to have their senator recalled which would then go on the next upcoming ballot. Quinn was asked by the Deseret News if he was targeting Romney who will not be up for re-election until 2025 he said:
“I know that’s what’s going to be the narrative. If it were, then it might make sense to have a sunset on it. That would not be the case.”
He then concluded saying, “six years is a long time.”
Since the impeachment trial started Romney has catered to the corrupt news media that has created fake news stories throughout the trial. Romney in a recent poll has lost the support of Republicans in his state.
As we reported last week, in the third quarter of 2019 65% of Republicans supported Romeny however, that support has now dropped to 57% which for an incumbent in a red state is rock bottom. To no surprise, Romeny did receive more support from Democrats in his state but that’s not going to help him because Utah is one of the reddest states in the country.
The Morning Consult stated is surveyed 494,899 different registered US voters from Oct 1st to Dec 31, 2019.
Romney thinks that he can do whatever he wants now that he hangs out in Washington and isn’t back on the ballot until 2025. Well, guess what buddy even if the bill doesn’t pass I think Utah just sent you a message.
