Vance Responds To Online Claim
Folks, let’s talk about the latest in the political arena where things are heating up between Vice President Kamala Harris and Ohio Senator JD Vance. Harris and her supporters have started calling Vance “weird,” and Vance isn’t taking it lightly.
This all started when Vance, who has been chosen by former President Donald Trump as his running mate, posted a short clip of Harris on CNN, where she introduces herself using “she/her” pronouns. Vance mockingly captioned the clip, “JD Vance is weird.”
In the video, Harris says, “And my pronouns are ‘she, her, and hers,’” during a 2020 town hall event. Then-CNN host Chris Cuomo playfully responds, “Me too.” Harris has consistently stated her pronouns in public, which is a nod to supporting gender identity and inclusivity.

The topic of pronouns and gender identity has been a significant part of Harris’s platform, with her pushing for legislation that allows individuals, including children, to transition to their identified gender. Last year, she highlighted the connection between reproductive care and transgender care, emphasizing the attacks on identity.
Over the weekend, the term “weird” gained traction among Democrats. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Governor Tim Walz both called Vance and Trump “weird.”
During a campaign fundraiser, Harris echoed this sentiment, saying Trump and Vance are saying “weird” things. She also released a campaign statement calling Vance a “creep” for his stance on abortion, accusing him of wanting to “ban abortion nationwide,” which she described as not only bad policy but also “creepy” and “unacceptable.”
Harris is now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign following a poor debate performance and pressure from fellow Democrats. Within about 48 hours, Harris secured delegates, positioning herself as the party’s choice for the presidency.
This back-and-forth has certainly stirred the pot, with both sides using sharp rhetoric to rally their bases. Harris’s use of the “weird” label is part of a broader strategy to discredit Vance and his policies, while Vance’s response highlights the ongoing cultural and ideological battles that define this election season.
