VIDEO: Biden’s New Scapegoat For Baby Formula Shortage Has Dems Up For Re-Election Sweating Bullets
President Biden has a new scapegoat for the baby formula shortage and it has Democrats who are up for re-election seating bullets.
The official position of the Biden administration is that the shortage is the fault of “fearful” parents who are afraid that their newborn will go hungry.
Since 43% of the nation’s stock of formula is gone, one would think that is a very reasonable fear.

Even the “experts” are blaming Biden, citing that this was a disaster that could have been seen coming a mile away.
“Somebody, whether it be Abbott or the FDA, should have realized, ‘We’re stopping production at one of a handful of plants that produces baby formula and what are the repercussions,’ ’’ said William Marler, a lawyer specializing in food-safety cases, to The Post.
“That’s where the FDA and Abbott dropped the ball. … They could have recalled the product without shutting the facility. They do recalls all the time without shutting the facility down,” he added.
Former FDA associate commissioner Peter Pitts said that Biden “knew that this shortage situation was going to happen.”
“They should have educated parents, given them advanced warning, let them know how to prepare,’’ he said. “The result was that one day parents go to the store and the shelves are empty – and they panic.
“The White House isn’t handling it,” Pitts added bluntly.
In response to the criticism Biden muttered, “If we had been better mind readers, I guess we could’ve” taken action to address the baby formula crisis sooner.”

When parents are struggling to find food for their newborns that is not the tone a Democrat running for re-election wants coming from the “leader” of the party. It does not appear that the Biden administration will be doing anything except try to pass some sort of price gouging bill or EO. As of the writing of this post, there is no plan to remove restrictions on importing formula from western Europe (which has a higher standard than the USA),fast-track the FDA, or use the defense production act to get parents’ relief.
CNN’s Jake Tapper pointed out that this isn’t the first time Biden let another “anticipated” disaster happen.
