Video: CNN Conducts Damage Control After Chief Correspondent Crumbles. Admits Network Lied ‘On Purpose’
CNN is conducting damage control after their chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta admitted the network lied “on purpose.”
The interview couldn’t come at a worse time for the network, Rogan has one of the most popular podcasts in the world and more than likely has individual episodes that have more ratings than CNN has in a month.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta accepted an invitation to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast and took part in a 3 hour discussion that revealed CNN’s top medical doctor can’t talk outside of his 30 second hit interviews on the network. When challenge with an opposing view Gupta fell apart.
Rogan asked, “Does it bother you that the news network you work for outright lied about me taking horse dewormer?”
“They shouldn’t have said that,” Gupta replied.
Rogan pressed, “Why’d they say that?”
“I don’t know,” Gupta answered
Rogan pressed again, “You didn’t ask?”
The network is now conducting damage control after Gupta admitted the network lied about Rogan taking horse dewormer.
This is such an important exchange. CNN loves to herald itself as vital warriors against disinformation and lies, while vilifying independent voices like Joe Rogan as a plague on our discourse.
Yet here, Rogan all but forces Sanjay Gupta to admit CNN lied about him *on purpose*. https://t.co/mrfjyuPA0v

Gupta talking points also failed when Rogan challenged him about children being vaccinated. Below is two minutes of a 45 minute back and forth between the two.
WATCH THIS: Joe Rogan annihilates @drsanjaygupta over vaccinating children. Sanjay seems utterly lost here; almost as if he’s never been challenged on this outside of the imploding television medium of 30 sec scripted sound bites and groupthink circle jerks. #FreedomFlu pic.twitter.com/dUOyPN6JAi

CNN is now running damage control especially after Gupta admitted CNN was wrong fro attacking Rogan over taking ivermectin. After taking a beating Gupta wrote a long snarky article on CNN demeaning Rogan despite acting like he respected him during the podcast.
Gupta tried to compare his conversation with being in “the octagon” – the ring MMA fighters fight in – and made the same failed arguments that he made during the show that failed him. Let’s be honest Gupta wouldn’t survive 1 second in an octagon with anyone.
The interview was a three hour drubbing and it showed these TV personalities flop when they are questioned outside their talking points.
