Video: Schiff Asks Bolton For An Affidavit, What Happens Next Tells You Everything You Need To Know
House Intelligence Chairman, liar, and failed impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff went on the Rachel Maddow show and said that he asked Bolton for an affidavit but, what ended up happening tells you everything you need to know.
Last week, at the eleventh hour, the New York Times tries to influence a Senate vote to allow witnesses at the Senate impeachment trial. The “bombshell” claimed that John Bolton, Trump’s former national security adviser book manuscript (being submitted for approval) contained comments about Trump wanting to withhold aid from Ukraine, substantiating the quid pro quo Democrats were claiming occurred. However, there were no quotes from the book in the NYT’s story and Bolton’s team never confirmed that was in the book.
Additionally, whatever Bolton may or may not have said was irrelevant because the transcript clearly shows that there was no quid pro quo. During her interview with Schiff Maddow mentioned “Bolton’s statements” without mentioning that they are completely unsubstantiated. Schiff did confirm what Rep. Nadler said about subpoenaing Bolton but, this is were Schiff’s story and claims fall apart.
Schiff said that after the vote failed to have new witnesses testify in the impeachment trial of President Trump, Democrats reached out to Bolton’s legal counsel to attempt to get an affidavit from Bolton about what he knew. According to Schiff, Bolton refused to submit the affidavit or make any other type of statement.
If (and I mean if because Schiff is a liar) that is true the New York Times “bombshell” that caused all kinds of chaos was complete nonsense either Bolton wasn’t willing to cooperate with Democrats or he can’t back it up.
It appears that Bolton is saving it all for the book or he was teasing something that stretched the truth to get back at the president and create buzz for his upcoming book. Now liberals who for a week worshipped Bolton like a god are now angry and say his book should be boycotted.
