Voting Law Misinformation: In One Tweet A Liberal Think Tank & AOC Prove Just How Dumb They Are
I gotta be honest when I saw this I just started laughing….a lot. Then, I remembered that these morons get to vote, influence other voters, and one of them is a member of Congress.
On Saturday night not even 12 hours after the deadly shooting in Texas citizen.org a liberal think tank tweeted on their page Public Citizen, “Your reminder that in Texas, you can vote with a gun permit but not a student ID.”

Democrats looking to poke fun at Texas in the wake of a deadly shooting thought this was very clever, and even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez retweeted it.
In the state of Texas, you must be a “legal resident” of Texas to obtain a concealed carry permit. Also, the Texas voter ID law allows seven different types of ID.
Here are the seven types of photo ID accepted under the law:
- State drivers license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate (issued by DPS)
- Texas personal identification card (issued by DPS)
- Texas license to carry a handgun (issued by DPS)
- U.S. military ID card that includes a personal photo
- U.S. citizenship certificate that includes a personal photo
- U.S. passport
If you are a student attending a college inside Texas and they issue you an ID you could live anywhere in the world; you are just attending school. Most students obtain an absentee ballot during an election year, or if they live close enough go home to vote. This is not a hard concept to grasp (unless you’re a liberal), to secure a school ID you can be anyone from any other state or country as long as you attend the school.
Liberals love to call out the President and us on the right for fake news but, when they post misinformation about Texas voting laws they expect a free pass. As of the writing of this post, the tweet was retweeted 5.9 thousand times and received 13 thousand likes.
Liberals don’t like legislation that hinders them from breaking the law or any legislation that stops them from committing voter fraud.
