Wash Po Faces Backlash After Releasing Sickening Fake News Political Attack On DeSantis, ‘Bodies Not Even…
Bodies are still being found at the partial building collapse in Surfside, Florida but that didn’t stop the Washington Post from using it as a political attack against Governor Ron DeSantis.
Washington Post reporter, Hannah Dreier released a report claiming that FEMA was ready to deploy to the condo collapse “almost immediately” but was unable to because of Gov. DeSantis.
There’s a saying in emergency management: The first 24 hours are the only 24 hours.
FEMA was ready to deploy to the condo collapse almost immediately, and included the crisis in its daily briefing, but didn’t get permission from Gov. DeSantis to get on the ground for a full day. pic.twitter.com/rVmCN47sQJ

The report is false.
The mayor did not sign an emergency order until 4:33 pm EST, almost less than one hour later Governor DeSantis signed an emergency order as well.
Time to kill another conspiracy theory:
How this works:
Emergency declaration from the local government -> state government -> federal government.
The mayor didn’t sign an emergency order until 4:33 pm ET. The governor signed one less than an hour later, at 5:32pm. https://t.co/5cVl1YPFQs pic.twitter.com/uXMubrKxEs

So, this is something I had a deep education on due to my previous job as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal tech. The control for these situations is directed by NIMS. https://t.co/6ZM7Jw9pb0
As you can see, requests flow from the local gov to the state gov: pic.twitter.com/uiVzZeJx4X

Despite being corrected numerous times Dreier refuses to apologize for the report or correct it.
Washington Post reporter spreading demonstrably false information. Has been corrected several times. Refuses to admit and correct.
As I stated earlier, this is no longer a news organization. https://t.co/HtNNf7kHKe

Meanwhile, local first responders are searching around the clock for survivors.
6-8 squad units are on the pile in Surfside actively searching around the clock. They have also now cut a trench 125 feet into the pile that is 20 feet wide & 40 feet deep & using sonar & cameras to search for survivors.

Received an update from the @FLSERT team and local officials in Surfside earlier today. We are working closely with local and federal officials to ensure that all necessary resources are available. pic.twitter.com/v7cePCOFPp
