Wash Po Gets Caught Stealth Editing Old Fauci Op-Ed To Protect Him From Looming Investigation
Dr. Fauci has flip flopped and moved the goal posts constantly for over a year.
First he said masks are useless, then he wanted everyone to wear two masks, herd immunity isn’t real, now it is. He’s opened the door to admit the coronavirus may have accidentally leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology after denying for over a year. Recently, he denied supporting gain-of-function research and giving any NIH funds to the lab in Wuhan.
Thanks to Senator Rand Paul we now have proof NIH funds filtered through a lab in New York to the lab in Wuhan where gain-of-function coronavirus research was taking place. That lab in New York is where Peter Daszak (WHO) routed the money to Wuhan. Daszak has also thrown cold water on the lab leak hypothesis.
Fauci used a little verbal jiujitsu to evade Senator Rand Paul’s question.
Paul asked, “Will you categorically say that the COVID-19 could not have occurred through serial passage in a laboratory?
“I do not have any accounting of what the Chinese may have done, and I am fully in favor of any further investigation of what went on in China. However, I will repeat again, the NIH and NIAID categorically has not funded gain-of-function research to be conducted in the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” replied Fauci.
On his twitter account Senator Rand Paul posted the evidence that NIH money did get to Wuhan to study coronavirus and an investigation is almost certainly underway.
In response, the Washington Post is now stealth editing a 2011 Fauci op-ed praising and supporting gain-of-function research.
Gain-of-function research is when scientists take viruses in the wild strengthen them in order to study them and prevent pandemics (so they say).
On December 30, 2011 Dr. Fauci said, “much good can come from generating a potentially dangerous virus in the laboratory.” That sentence has now been changed from “much good can come” to “insights can come.” Fauci did caution that safeguards must be put in place however, it didn’t stop him from handing out funds for the dangerous research to a lab in China since 2014.
Some reprints still show the original wording.
It would not be surprising as the pandemic settles down and will probably be gone by the end of the summer, Fauci suddenly retires. There is way too much of a trail that follows back to him as more and more evidence points to the Wuhan lab.
