Watch: Biden Approves Of Decision To CANCEL The National Anthem Before Games
NBA Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has announced that he is no longer going to play the “The Star-Spangled Banner” before games.
Cuban has told reporters that it was his decision alone to cease the tradition of playing the anthem before games, the move was mostly unnoticed until a limited number of fans were allowed back into the arena.
Cuban has always been supportive of his players taking a knee during the National Anthem and said last summer, “If they were taking a knee, and they were being respectful, I’d be proud of them.”
The Mavericks owner has also criticized the “National Anthem Police” telling them they could “complain to your boss and ask why they don’t play the National Anthem every day before you start work.”
Biden’s Press Secretary was asked about Cuban’s decision not to play the anthem and the Administration gave their approval.
Psaki said Biden “has great respect for the anthem… He’d also say that pride in our country means recognizing moments when we as a country haven’t lived up to our highest ideals.”

Biden has been in Washington for over forty years and is partially responsible for American not living up to our “highest ideals.”
Cuban is usually known as a “smart” businessman but he is going to have trouble getting fans in Texas to show up for a Mavericks game after this.
There does seem to be some pushback from the NBA office, Chief Communications Officer Mike Bass said that all NBA teams will play the National Anthem before games.
Statement from NBA Chief Communications Officer Mike Bass on the league’s rile on playing the national anthem: “With NBA teams now in the process of welcoming fans back into their arenas, all teams will play the national anthem in keeping with longstanding league policy.”
