Watch: Dem Senator Shocks MSNBC Panel After Question About Hunter Biden
One Democrat Senator shocked an MSNBC panel after they asked him about witnesses and was the first Democrat to break ranks with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
First, during an appearance on Fox News Senator Manchin told Neil Cavuto that he feels he must allow witnesses to testify at the Senate impeachment trial.
“I don’t know how I go home to West Virginia and explain that I had to make a decision in a trial, the most important thing that I have ever done or will ever do as an elected official, an impeachment of the president of the United States, without having all the evidence and all the witnesses that had the knowledge,” Manchin told host Neil Cavuto.
Manchin also said that he is frustrated with hypocrisy on both sides. He claims that Schumer, Dershowitz, and Kenneth Starr have “all reversed their positions 180 degrees.”
Next Manchin appeared on Morning Joe on MSNBC and was asked if Hunter Biden was a relevant witness.
“I think so, I really do. I don’t have a problem there because this is why we are where we are. “Now I think he can clear himself, what I know and what I’ve heard, but being afraid to put anyone that might have pertinent information is wrong, no matter if you’re a Democrat or a Republican.”
Manchin also seems to be leaning toward acquitting the President. One thing that Manchin pointed out is that not one witness presented by Rep. Adam Schiff has had direct contact with the president.
Sen. Joe Manchin told me Trump’s team did a “good job” and are “making me think about things.” He added: “One thing that stuck in my mind is they said there isn’t a witness they have had so far that had direct contact with the president. I’d love to hear from Mulvaney and Bolton”

In the end, however, Manchin votes are anybody’s guess and at the end of the day, he is a Democrat. As many have come out and said John Bolton is the “Blasey Ford” of impeachment. Anything Manchin can use as an excuse to vote to remove the President he will.
It does appear that he is going to vote to allow Hunter Biden to testify which means in the Senate there is bi-partisan support to enforce Hunter Biden and possibly Joe Biden to testify at the impeachment trial.
