Watch: Primary Getting Nasty As Sanders ‘Rape Fantasies’ Are Uncovered & Other Crazy Accusations
The gloves have come off in the Democrat primary and things are getting nasty (literally). The senior advisor for Michael Bloomberg’s presidential campaign, Tim O’Brien shocked CNN host Alisyn Camerota when he accused Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders of writing a “women’s rape fantasies” essay and claimed Bernie believes women who have too many orgasms have an increased the chance of cervical cancer.
In 2015 an essay was discovered that Sanders wrote claiming that women fantasize about being raped. Here’s a clip from CNN in 2015:

The 2015 Sanders’ campaign claimed that the essay was decades-old and “a dumb attempt at dark satire in an alternative publication.”
But this week, O’Brien brought out all the dirty laundry about the “loony” side of Sanders.
We’ve got a candidate who has risen in the polls because of his track record. Bernie has all of this loopy stuff in his background, saying things like women get cancer from having too many orgasms, or toddlers should run around naked and touch each other’s genitals to insulate themselves from porn,” O’Brien ranted Tuesday morning.
“I’m sorry, what?” interjected the visibly shocked CNN host, Camerota.
“Why has this stuff not been more surfaced? He’s written about women’s rape fantasies – that hasn’t been surfaced. That’s the loony side of Bernie.”
According to Newsweek, O’Brien is lying, in 1969 Sanders wrote an essay titled, “Cancer, Disease, and Society,” and claimed cervical cancer could inhibit women from getting an orgasm.
Newsweek reports:
In a December 1969 essay entitled, “Cancer, Disease and Society,” which was originally published in the Vermont Freeman underground newspaper, Sanders argued that cervical cancer can potentially be caused by a woman’s inability to achieve an orgasm—the inverse of what O’Brien suggested on CNN Tuesday. O’Brien is an executive editor of Bloomberg Opinion and was previously a reporter at The New York Times.
In May 2015, the Sanders campaign responded to a 1972 essay about rape: “It was intended to attack gender stereotypes of the ’70s, but it looks as stupid today as it was then,” former Sanders campaign spokesman Michael Briggs told CNN at the time. The essay was first uncovered by Mother Jones earlier that month. The primary against Hillary Clinton was nearly a year off.
The gloves are coming off as candidates are making a last-ditch effort to make it past Super Tuesday next week.
