Watch: Rep. Cohen Tells CNN He’s Concerned About The National Guard At The Capitol, ‘Only About 25% Of The People There Protecting Us That Voted For…
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn), Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, told CNN he’s worried about the National Guard soldiers that are protecting the capitol because most of them didn’t vote for Joe Biden.
“The [National] Guard is 90 some-odd percent male; and only about 20 percent of white males voted for Biden,” Cohen said. “There are probably not more than 25% of the people there protecting us that voted for Biden.”

Conservative pundit Dana Loesch criticized Cohen claiming that he doesn’t understand people don’t pledge themselves to serve other people but do pledge to serve their county.
First, this is just a reckless and stupid accusation. Second, Cohen doesn’t seem to realize that people don’t pledge to serve for other people (and shouldn’t), they pledge to serve country. https://t.co/aXaAlStv1x

In preparations for the inauguration of Joe Biden the Capitol has been completely locked down and turned into a military fortress. There are checkpoints everywhere and if you don’t have the correct ID to be in a specific zone you will be refused entry to the area.

The government has yet to explain or announce the strong presence at the Capitol as they continue to re-enforce the area.
