Watch: Senator Schumer Begs McConnell For Special Treatment During Impeachment Trial And Trump’s Team Hits Back
In a move that can only be described as absolutely ridiculous, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) begged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for a “fair and honest” trial. Now, if fair and honest means exposing the lies from the Democrats in the House then he shouldn’t worry but, I’m pretty sure that’s not what he meant.
The White House immediately responded to Schumer’s moronic request, Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham wrote on Twitter, “Let us hope that fairness will prevail’” — a laughable quote from @SenSchumer this a.m. … after the Dems release an ‘impeachment report’ in the middle of the night. Thankfully the people of this country continue to see the partisan sham that this is,” she added.

After almost a month of secret hearings behind closed doors led by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Cal) leaking fake news. Democrats refusing to allow Republicans to call witnesses, bullying Republican members of Congress during questioning, shutting down inconvenient statements challenging impeachment, refusing to consider actual evidence, and allowing hearsay on the record – the Democrats now would like special treatment going into the trial that will occur in the Senate.
Give me a freaking break!
Schumer wants to control the witness list and wants Trump administration officials like John Bolton, acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, and budget official Michael Duffey to testify. Now, McConnell may allow some of them to testify especially now that we know that the report Schiff released supposedly showing coordination between Trump, Giuliani, and the budget office was found to be 100% false.
No doubt Schumer is trying to get a head start on the damage control he is going to have to do after what the insane House Democrats did. President Trump has already promised that he is going to put the Democrats through hell for what they have done to him and frankly I can’t wait.
