Video: Trump Admin Literally Laughs At Obama Judge & Will Not Comply
Last week Obama appointed Judge Randolph Moss ruled that Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli was illegally appointed to lead the department. The ruling was actually collusion between an Obama judge and a group that sued the Trump administration attempting to eliminate Trump’s immigration policy that the courts have upheld.
The Trump Administration has announced that despite the ruling they are not going to change a thing and Cuccinelli will remain in office.
Judge Randolph Moss ruled that Cuccinelli did not meet the requirements in the Federal Vacancies Reform act of 1998, the judge’s decision also declared that Cuccinelli’s policy changes regarding immigration are invalid.
The lawsuit was initiated by the Democracy Forward Foundation that was formed by former Obama administration officials during Trump’s first term in office. Their goal is to terminate the policy that bars illegal immigrants who are using financial assistance.
When Cuccinelli reacted to the judge’s ruling he laughed and then said he’s not going anywhere.
Cuccinelli said:
“The succession for the deputy secretary of homeland security ties back to my official position as the principal deputy at USCIS [U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services], there’s not a problem with me at my current position,” Cuccinelli said on Fox and Friends Monday after initially laughing at the news. “The only issue in the case is related to being the acting director at USCIS. And this ruling is really something of an outlier. This is a methodology that has been used in the past. It’s been thought of as legal as — pretty broadly.”
The Trump administration is going to appeal and this ruling will certainly be overturned. Judge Moss’s ruling is just another example of the swamp games being played operatives from the former Obama administration. This will go down as another failed attempt to disrupt the Trump Administrations’s effective immigration policy.
