You’ve got to give her credit for being knocked down and getting back up over and over again. That’s what it has been like for White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. How many more times can she get back up in front of the Washington press and be forced to say the most incredible things?
On Monday, Jean-Pierre admitted that no one in the Biden White House, including the president, had been briefed on the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago. Are you kidding me?
A federal agency under the executive branch of the government raided a former president’s personal home. The raid was allegedly authorized because of criminal behavior that could have included espionage and sharing of nuclear secrets. And no one has yet briefed the president on this?
Can this be true? Well, Joe is ghosting Israel at the same time he is negotiating with Iran. Is this White House being shielded from the things that matter?
It is important to remember what Jean-Pierre said the day after the raid when almost every report wanted more information:
Reporter: Does the White House think it would be helpful for the DOJ to be more open about the reasons for the raid?
JP: We’re just not going to comment.
Reporter: Doesn’t the DOJ going after the former president who may be the president’s opponent in 2024 reek of politics?
JP: We did not have advance notice.
Reporter: What’s the White House response to Republicans’ promise investigations of the raid on Mar-A-Lago?
JP: I’m just not going to comment.
Reporter: Did Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland sign off on the raid?
JP: We learned about this just like you all did.
Reporter: Does President Biden know whether AG Garland signed off on the raid?
JP: I don’t have anything more to share.
Reporter: Has President Biden talked to AG Garland on Tuesday?
JP: I’m just not going to speak further.
Reporter: Does Joe Biden view Donald Trump as a political rival?
JP: I’m not going to comment on that.
Reporter: Will the Biden administration or DOJ provide a full accounting of its raid?
JP: No comment.
