Fartgate Was Bad But White House Response To Navy Appointmentgate Is Worse
In case you missed it, during the US Naval Academy graduation, President Joe Biden claimed that he received an appointment to the Academy from J. Caleb Boggs in 1965, the person he later ran against for senator in 1972.
“Before I begin my speech, a thought crossed my mind as I was told the Class of ‘72 is here, Biden said. “I was appointed to the Academy in 1965 by a senator who I was running against in 1972. (Laughter.) Never planned it that way. I wasn’t old enough to be sworn in. I was only 29 years old when I was running. He was a fine man, and his name was J. Caleb Boggs.”
“I didn’t come to the Academy because I wanted to be a football star. And you had a guy named Staubach and Bellino here. So I went to Delaware,” he added.
The claim is a flat-out lie, Biden graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965 and was never appointed to the Naval Academy.
To get out of Vietnam Biden received five student deferments and was declared “unfit” because of asthma in 1968.
CBS News reporter, Ed O’Keefe asked about Biden’s lie during a press conference and the White House response made things even worse.
O’ Keefe asked, “I want to just clarify…something [Biden] said…during his address at the Naval academy. [He] was born in 1942, graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965…He said he was appointed [there] in 1965? Was he?”
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said uncomfortably she “did not hear that part.”

“I didn’t hear that” is a laughable response and it just shows how bad Joe Biden is and that the White House is dumbstruck trying to provide answers.
They are just making everything worse, the quote was on video, and part of the transcript. The response from Jean-Pierre is incompetent and this is why the majority of Americans believe America is on the wrong track.
