Whoopi Comments On Co-Host Statement About Bill In The Senate
For years, conservatives have wondered how The View manages to stay on the air. The daytime talk show, once a forum for lively debate, has devolved into a predictable echo chamber of left-wing outrage, where reckless rhetoric is the norm and double standards reign supreme. The latest example? Joy Behar’s ill-advised quip suggesting she’d rather see President Donald Trump buy a rocket from Elon Musk than a Tesla—heavily implying what she hoped would happen next.
The comment, reported by The Western Journal, was so brazen that even Whoopi Goldberg had to step in, cutting her off before things spiraled completely out of control. “Don’t do it. Don’t do it,” Goldberg warned, before swiftly sending the show to a commercial break—perhaps realizing the legal and ethical mess that could follow.
President Trump.
Elon Musk.
The White House.
Tesla.

The remark came during a discussion about Trump’s recent visit to the White House, where he met with Musk—now chairing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—to check out Tesla’s latest models. In a moment that was livestreamed and later posted to Trump’s Truth Social account, the former president climbed into a Tesla Model S, teasing the idea of purchasing one. But instead of discussing policy implications or Musk’s growing role in government, Behar saw an opportunity for a cheap shot, one that backfired almost immediately.
The timing of her reckless joke couldn’t have been worse. SpaceX, Musk’s aerospace company, had just suffered another high-profile rocket failure—its second major explosion of the year. Whether Behar was aware of this or not, the implication of her remark was clear enough to send Goldberg into damage-control mode.

Unfortunately, this is just the latest in a long line of The View’s controversies. In February, Behar falsely accused Musk, a South African native, of supporting apartheid—an allegation so egregious that she was forced to walk it back on air to avoid potential legal consequences. Then in November, co-host Sunny Hostin was compelled to read a legal disclaimer after repeating debunked claims about Trump’s former attorney general pick, Matt Gaetz.
Despite its decades-long run, The View continues to make the kind of unforced errors that should be career-ending for any serious political commentator. But that’s the nature of the show—it’s not about informed discussion or responsible debate. It’s about creating a safe space for leftist elites to lob inflammatory accusations and hope that enough people are too distracted to notice their hypocrisy.
ABC just settled with Trump for $15 million for George Stephanopoulos lying about him.
The View’s Sunny Hostin regularly reads legal notes to cover for their blatant lies about Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth.
They should sue The View and ABC next. pic.twitter.com/ie7KmFV4ta
