Why Aren’t Democrats Listening to Biden’s Lectures About Science?
President Joe Biden lectured American citizens about “listening to the science” when it came to COVID-19 protocols. But why are so many Democrats not doing that when it comes to having toddlers wear masks?
Scientific studies have revealed the adverse impact that masks have on toddlers, especially when it comes to increasing their communication skills. And you can add the that the unlikelihood of them becoming severely ill from the virus.
Both the World Health Organization and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control don’t recommend that children put on masks.
But the latest I&I/TIPP Poll indicates that many in Biden’s party are not listening to the science in regards to the masking of children.
A recent poll asked 1,351 American adults, “Is it a good or bad idea to put masks on children under age 5 to deal with COVID?”
The responses could not have been more different when you look at which political party they came from. A majority of Democrats (56%) supported masking kids under the age of 5, but only 24% of Republicans and 31% of Independents supported the idea.
Conversely, 58% of Republicans and 38% of Independents believed that masking toddlers were a bad idea, but only 24% of Democrats felt the same.
Dr. Daniel Rauch is the chief of pediatric hospital medicine at Tufts Children’s Hospital in Boston. He told USA Today that the “good news continues to be that [COVID-19] is not a common problem for kids.” And The Mayo Clinic maintains that up to “50% of children and adolescents might have COVID-19 with no symptoms” and that “kids are less likely to become severely ill.”
Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo wrote that the estimated COVID-19 survival rate in children was “approximately 99.995%.”
So why are the liberal Democrats not listening to their own president’s advice?
