You’ve Got to See Kamala and Joe…SNL Wouldn’t Need Writers, Just the Transcripts!
If Saturday Night Live was willing to go after the Biden administration like they have other presidents, they would not even need their writers. They would have skits just by reading the transcripts of actual events led by Joe and Kamala.
This week, they would have had another crowd pleaser.
President Biden tested positive again for COVID, this is the fifth straight day. He is remaining in isolation at the White House.
The White House Doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor released another letter on Biden’s condition and this time actually acknowledged that he has some symptoms.
“The President continues to feel well,” O’Connor wrote in a memorandum released by the White House. “He is still experiencing an occasional cough, but less frequently than yesterday. He remains fever-free and in good spirits. His temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation remain entirely normal. His lungs remain clear.”
The doctor was kind of forced into telling the public about Biden’s symptoms because the press secretary let it slip in a press briefing.
So the president has been doing things remotely. On Wednesday, he participated in an interagency task force meeting on abortion. His trusty vice president, Kamala Harris, was going to take the reigns of the in-person meeting and Biden would appear on a screen from back at the White House.
The scene is set, so here we go with another gaffe that just pretty much defines this administration.
Biden is speaking virtually with the room, but Harris just can’t seem to get the mic turned on. Biden, just like your grandfather with his smart TV, thinks he knows exactly how to fix the problem.
The president says quite loudly to the vice president, “You’re on mute, I can’t hear you.”
Kamala finally gets things straight and then offers one of her famous cackles as she responds, “We feel your presence.”
And the room nervously laughs along with a somewhat bewildered president.
And cut. That would kill on SNL.
