Man Faces Judge After Bicyclists Went On Boston Highway
It looked like a scene out of a post-apocalyptic movie—except it was real, and it happened in the heart of Boston. On Saturday afternoon, stunned motorists found themselves caught in an utterly lawless takeover of a major highway, as over 100 teens on bicycles, electric scooters, and dirt bikes stormed the O’Neill Tunnel in what can only be described as coordinated chaos.
The initial reports came in just after 2 p.m., with Massachusetts State Police receiving calls from frantic drivers who watched as traffic ground to a halt and a mob of helmetless riders wove recklessly through moving vehicles. According to eyewitness Michael Filandro, the moment was surreal: “I thought it was a little parade or something going on… they were blowing through traffic lights, zipping around cars.” There were no escorts, no signs of police containment, and no indication that this was anything short of an unsanctioned, dangerous stunt on one of Boston’s busiest arteries.

And it wasn’t just mischief. The reckless joyride escalated when one of the bikers collided directly with a police cruiser, then fled the scene on foot. No helmet. No accountability. Just a quick disappearance into the crowd.
By day’s end, only one person had been arrested: 22-year-old Adam Harrison, who flatly denied involvement, claiming he merely witnessed the event and thought it “looked like fun.” He pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Whether Harrison was part of the mass ride or just swept up in it remains under investigation, but the broader issue looms larger: How did this happen—again?
In Mayor Wu’s Boston they took over part of the highway with bikes. Out of all those obstructionist riders only one was arrested. One arrested!! The others free to ride again. The Mayor and Boston Police Commissioner have failed us yet again! No shocker here!! https://t.co/i5vZBaCnYP

Mayor Michelle Wu has yet to comment on the chaos. Her silence is raising eyebrows, especially given that a similar highway stunt occurred in 2022. At the time, Wu brushed it off, reportedly stating it was just “teens having fun,” and decried what she saw as unfair assumptions about criminal intent. But there’s a fine line between fun and public endangerment—and when that line is crossed on a major highway, it ceases to be harmless youth mischief.
This was no minor disruption. It was a complete breakdown of public safety protocols in a city already grappling with concerns over crime and law enforcement underreach. The spectacle in the tunnel wasn’t just a traffic nuisance; it was a wake-up call that, when unchecked, disorder has a way of multiplying.
In 2022, Boston @MayorWu was warned about scooters & dirt bikes.
She shrugged it off as “teens having fun.”Wu had a chance to act—but her far-left radical views and soft-on-crime policies got the best of her.
Now they’re fueling chaos, crime, and lawlessness.

As of now, there’s no indication that the city will pursue further charges or preventative measures.
